Our most important grape variety is the Zweigelt, typical for the region. In addition to another Austrian grape variety, the Blaufränisch, Cabernet, Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah ensure an international stylistic. For the white wines the Chardonnay is the leading wine, Welschriesling, Weißburgunder, Grüner Veltliner and Sämling 88 complete our white wine selection.

Today our portfolio consists of 75 percent red wines and 25 percent white wines, where a small amount accounts for dessert wines. As hardly any other winegrowing region of the world, the special climate of the Seewinkel vinifies dessert wines in a class of its own. The warm humid climate in late fall provides ideal conditions for the Botrytis cinerea, called the noble rod, creating an outstanding Beerenauslese and Trockenbererenauslese. The sweet treasures are known far across the country’s borders.
